The Bookcase has a compartment that shields cell phone radiation (electromagnetic radiation). As soon as your smartphone has been stowed away in the closed shielding compartment (the so-called Funkstille compartment), you are protected against cell phone monitoring.
The slide-in compartment on the right side of the Bookcase is designed for everyday use and provides quick and stylish access to your smartphone. You can use this compartment at those moments when you do not want to shield yourself, but instead remain reachable.
Your cards and ID cards with RFID/NFC function (e.g. ec card and credit card, ID card and health card) are also safe inside the Bookcase, protected from wireless data retrieval (skimming).
Two additional compartments offer space for banknotes, receipts and pictures, for example.

1 Shielding is given when the Funkstille Bookcase / shielding compartment is closed. The bottom card slot also shields when the bookcase is open. Smartphone is exclusively shielded when the Funkstille-compartment is closed, not when it is stored in the slide-in compartment.
2 Maximum size applies to smartphones without a cover. If storing mobile phones with a cover in the shielding compartment it can become tight.

This handmade Funkstille accessory, made from the finest “full-grain” cowhide leather, not only stands the ravages of time – it actually improves as it ages. The leather has not been embossed – a light pigmentation protects the leather without concealing its individual grain pattern. As such, none of our leather products resembles another – each one is unique!
Care advice:
Leather is a natural product which develops its character by usage and time. High temperatures, direct sunlight or water can harm the material. If the leather product becomes wet dry it with a soft cloth.
By using a neutral leather care product or colorless wax, the leather retains its natural softness and pigmentation.
Abschirmgewebe unterliegen aufgrund verschiedener Faktoren wie bspw. Luftfeuchtigkeit oder Bewegung einer begrenzten Haltbarkeit. Sämtliche Funkstille® Accessoires wurden so konzipiert, dass Sie viele Jahre Freude an diesen haben. Die Haltbarkeit der Abschirmfunktion kann je nach Art und Häufigkeit der Nutzung variieren. Sollten innerhalb von drei Jahren Beeinträchtigungen der Abschirmfunktion eintreten, tauschen wir das Abschirmmaterial Ihres Accessoires kostenlos aus.
